It is a little hard to understand the floorplan from these pictures but hopefully these pictures will help give you a better idea of what I was trying to describe last night.
Gary is going to talk to the others at Job Services to see if they can come to our meeting next Wednesday at 8pm. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from him.
I am excited for everyone to understand the need for this project in the community and fully get on board. I truly believe this project is going to be a great success and have a positive impact on our community!
Great pictures, Jenni! Thanks for posting these right away. I love how you set them up so it's like we're walking in with you!
ReplyDeleteNotes from the discussion on Clothing Closet:
ReplyDeleteFocus on career clothing donations (current fashions, quality pieces, variety of sizes and fits), time commitment would include proposed twice annual clothing drive. Pairs volunteering to piece together sample outfits and change out seasonally. Additional volunteering could involve personal interaction with job service clients.
Subcommittees proposed:
Clothing Drive - seeks donations and contacts businesses and organizations
Community Promotion - Marketing the closet
Volunteer coordination & Tanf involvement - scheduling and making closet available, tracking use.
Institute vouchers and limitation of items
Organizations to solicit donations: Women's Network of RC, ZONTA, AAUW, Goodwill, Kohls
This space has a lot of potential! One question to ask is how much liberty we can take to alter it with added storage and mirrors.
ReplyDeleteHey Anne, I'm going with Jennie at noon tomorrow, Tuesday, to draw out a floor plan of how it is and what our goal is. You wanna come with? Sharee might come too.
